【摘要】:Thiscodeshallapplytoculturallysignificantstructuresandtotheircontents.Suchstructuresinclude,butarenotlimitedto,buildingsthatstoreordisplaymuseumorlibrarycollections,historicbuildings,andplacesofworship.Thesestructuresalsoincludespaceswithinotherbuildingsusedforsuchculturallysignificantpurposes.1.1.1NewCulturalPropertyOccupancies.Therequirementsofthiscodeshallapplytothefollowing:(1)Newbuildingsorportionsthereofusedasaculturalpropertyoccupancy(2)Additionsmadetoaculturalpropertyoccupancy(3)Alterations,modernizations,orrenovationsofexistingoccupancies(4)Existingbuildingsorportionsthereofuponchangeofoccupancytoaculturalpropertyoccupancy1.1.2ExistingCulturalPropertyOccupancies.Therequirementsofthiscodeshallapplytoexistingbuildingsorportionsthereofcurrentlyoccupiedasculturalpropertyoccupancies.Exception:Anexistingbuildinghousingaculturalpropertyoccupancyestablishedpriortotheeffectivedateofthiscodeshallbepermittedtobeapprovedforcontinueduseifitconformstoorismadetoconformtotheprovisionsofthiscodetotheextentthat,intheopinionoftheauthorityhavingjurisdiction,reasonablelifesafetyagainstthehazardsoffire,explosion,andpanicisprovidedandmaintained.
