【摘要】:ThisPublishedDocument(PD)establishestheprinciplesandterminologyofexercisingandgivesguidanceontheprocessesandmethodsfordevelopingorimprovingcontinuityandcontingencycapabilities.NOTEForthepurposesofthisPD,testingisdefinedasaparticulartypeofexercisethatincorporatesanexpectationofapassorfailelementwithintheaimorobjectivesoftheexercisebeingplanned.Accordingly,theterm“exercise”,whereusedinthePD,mightalsorefertotestingactivities.ThepurposesofthisPDareto:a)provideabasisforunderstanding,developingandimplementinganeffectiveexerciseprogrammewithinanorganization;b)provideconfidenceintheorganization’sabilitytoconductexercisesandtestswithinternalandexternalstakeholders;c)assisttheorganizationindevelopingandassessingitsexercisingandtestingcapabilityinaconsistent,cost-effectiveandrisk?assessedmannerthatreflectsgoodpractice;andd)encourageconstantimprovementincontingencyandcontinuityprogrammeswithinanorganization.ThisPDisintendedforusebyanyonewithresponsibilityforoperationsortheprovisionofservices,whetherinpublic,privateornot-for-profitorganizations,fromtopmanagementthroughalllevelsoftheorganization;fromorganizationswithasinglesitetothosewithaglobalpresence;fromsmalltoverylargeorganizations.
