【摘要】:Thisdocumentspecifiesrequirementsandrecommendationsforthedesign,preparationandapplicationofcement,limeorothermineralbinders,and/orcombinationsthereof,masonrycementandpolymermodifiedbinderbasedexternalrenderings,onallcommontypesofbackgrounds,tobothverticalwallsandhorizontalsoffits.Itincludesrenderingonbothnewandoldbackgroundsandthemaintenanceandrepairofexistingwork.Renderswithorganicmaterialsastheprincipalbinderarenotincludedinthescopeofthisdocument.Thisdocumentgivesguidanceontheuseofestablishedsite,factoryandsemi-finishedfactorymaderenders.NOTE1BecauseofthemanyandvariedmaterialsandpracticesinEuropeitisnotpossibleforcertainaspectsofthedocumenttoenterintosufficientdetailtobefullyusabletopractitionersineachcountry.Suchrecommendationsrequiredtocomplement,butnotalteranybasicEuropeanrecommendationaregivenindocumentationpreparedbyeachcountry.Aspectsofthisdocumentwhichmayneedtobecomplementedareindicatedwheretheyoccurbyafootnotereferencingthisparagraph.DuetothewiderangeofclimaticconditionsinEurope,itisnotpossibletorecommendprecisedryingtimesforbackgroundsandrendercoats.Anytimesgivenareforguidanceonly.Thisdocumentdoesnotcoverthefollowing:a)theuseandapplicationofspecialrendersforliquidretainingstructures,e.g.coatings,andforbackgroundstocladdingsystems;b)thestructuralrepairofconcrete;c)theinstallationofproprietaryexternalthermalinsulationcompositesystems(ETICS);d)thespecificationanduseofsealantsusedtosealjointsforusewithrendering;e)theuseofgypsumbasedrendersusedexternally,buttheirusemaybepermittedinsomecountries;NOTE2Gypsumbasedproductssoftenwhensubjecttoprolongedmoistconditions.Theuseofsuchproductsexternallywilldependupontheclimaticconditionswheretherenderwillbeusedandonthelocalbuildingtraditions.WiththeexceptionofsomedriercountriesinsouthernEuropegypsumbasedrendersaregenerallynotrecommendedforexternaluseandarethereforenotincludedwithinthescopeofthisdocument.Theirusemaybepermittedandcontrolledlocally.f)thedesignandinstallationofflashingsatwindowsillsandelsewhere.Atvariouspointsinthisdocumentreferenceismadetotheuseofsealants.Thespecificationofsealantsandthedesignofsuchjointsisoutsidethescopeofthisdocument.note:2)RefertoNOTE1ofClause1forfurtherinformation.
