Scope:This specification covers the requirements for a manganese phosphate coating on ferrous alloys. This process has been used typically to produce a coating that will minimize chafing of contacting steel surfaces and retain an oil film, but usage is not limited to such applications. While the materials, methods, applications, and processes described or referenced in this specification may involve the use of hazardous materials, this specification does not address the hazards that may be involved in such use.
